Dr. Tabron has experience continuing service functions when leadership communication is offline. In this case, that involved leading 13,000+ students and faculty in resuming normal classes at UNIVERSITY when central systems were functioning but many had lost power, telecommunications, or the ability to travel.

After the real effects of the storm, Dr. Tabron led the updating of recovery plans and training materials created for possible H1N1 disruption.

When failures dragged out for weeks in an electronic medical records system, to recover normal operations, IT, vendor partners, and customers all needed communication and partnership. She also resolved recurring network problems with public safety systems that required following federal guidelines for law enforcement data security, and a crisis where 1500+ customers were without wifi for weeks—and no one had noticed. After this resolution, she worked with the organization to implement stronger incident management.
